A Guide to Installing Premium Quartz Tiles
Thank you for selecting our premium quartz tiles. This engineered stone, featuring a brilliant white backdrop with dramatic grey veining, is designed to create a lasting impression in any interior. Proper installation is paramount to protect your investment and showcase its inherent beauty. Please adhere to the following professional guidelines.

Pre-Installation: Tools & Materials Checklist
Gathering the correct equipment before starting is essential for a seamless process.
- Cutting Equipment: A wet saw fitted with a diamond blade rated for quartz or granite is required for precise, clean cuts. A grinder with polishing pads may be needed for detailed edge work.
- Adhesives & Grout: Utilize a premium-grade, flexible thin-set mortar specifically designed for large-format stone tiles. For grout, select a color-enhanced epoxy grout (sanded or unsanded) in light grey or white to complement the tile's pattern.
- Layout & Leveling Tools: Essential items include notched trowels (a 1/2" x 1/2" square notch is recommended), rubber mallets, tile spacers (1/8" or 3/16"), a long spirit level (minimum 4 feet), and a laser level for optimal alignment.
- Surface Prep Tools: Have a floor scraper, appropriate substrate primer/sealer if necessary, and mixing paddles ready.
- Finishing Supplies: Prepare clean buckets, large sponges, grout floats, and sealant applicators. While the quartz surface is non-porous, sealing the grout lines after installation is advised for long-term ease of maintenance.

Critical Surface Preparation
The foundation of a flawless installation lies in meticulous preparation of the substrate.
Substrate Requirements
The installation surface must be structurally sound, completely rigid, flat, clean, and dry. For floor installations, deflection must meet L/720 standards. Wooden subfloors require an overlay of cement backer board.
Achieving Optimal Flatness
Use your long level to check the entire area. Variations must not exceed 1/8 inch over a 10-foot span. High spots should be ground down; low spots must be filled with a suitable leveling compound.
Dry Layout & Planning
Unbox tiles from multiple cartons and arrange them dry without adhesive. This critical step allows you to:
- Plan the overall layout and pattern sequence.
- Blend natural veining variations for an organic aesthetic.
- Minimize cuts by optimizing tile placement.
Establish reference lines starting from the center of the room.
Final Checks
Allow all tiles and materials to acclimate to the room's temperature and humidity for at least 48 hours prior to installation. Confirm your layout plan and ensure all tools are on hand.

Professional Installation Methodology
Handle these slabs with care throughout the process to preserve their finish.
Adhesive Application
For full coverage and to prevent hollow spots (lippage), apply adhesive using the "back-buttering" technique: spread mortar evenly on both the substrate and the back of each tile with your notched trowel.
Leveling & Alignment
Use tile leveling clips/spacers in conjunction with your spacers to maintain perfectly even surfaces and consistent joint width.Check alignment frequently with your spirit level as you work across the area.
Cutting & Clean-Up
Make cuts slowly using your wet sawto avoid chippingthe material.Wipe away any excess adhesiveimmediatelywitha damp sponge before it sets.Grouting should only commence once all adhesive has fully cured accordingto themanufacturer's instructions.
